Första halvlek blev mållös, men efter pausen slog Tim Skarke till och gav Darmstadt ledningen. I 70:e minuten nätade Tobias Kempe på straff, och gjorde 0-2. Reduceringen till 1-2 kom med fyra minuter kvar att spela, när Ermedin Demirovic slog till och gjorde mål för Augsburg. Men mer än så orkade Augsburg inte med. Det här betyder att Augsburg nu ligger på 15:e plats i tabellen, och Darmstadt är på elfte plats. Söndag 22 oktober 17.30 spelar Augsburg borta mot Heidenheim. Darmstadt möter Red Bull Leipzig hemma på Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor lördag 21 oktober 15.30.
