Panthers Pick Up Right Where They Left Off To Start 2024! 4-1 Win Over Arizona.

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brings in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday. The guys discuss the Panthers starting off their road trip with a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes from Mullett Arena in Tempe. The Panthers were able to weather the storm after the first period. The Panthers used their size against Arizona to battle along the boards and spend a lot of the game in the Coyotes zone. Panthers were quick to breaking out of their zone on Tuesday night. After the first period, the Cats only allowed seven total shots on goal the rest of the way. Panthers play had some of the best movement and scoring chances we've seen all season, totaling 10 shots on goal on the night. With Sam Reinharts power play goal to make it 2-1 at the time 7:56 in the third, Aleksander Barkov now sets the record for most assist in a Florida Panthers sweater. Matthew Tkachuk breaks his 9-game goal drought as he scored 42 seconds later to break the game open for the Panthers. Things got heated as the second period was winding down as Jason Zucker boards Nick Cousins while the puck was out nowhere near as was assessed a 5-minute major, and a game misconduct. Gustav Forsling gets an empty net goal after spending most of the 3rd period in the penalty box for getting two minutes for instigating, five for fighting and a 10-minute misconduct. The guys give their three stars, when they thought the game was won, and discuss more about how dominant the Panthers have been during their 5-game winning streak(their second of the season). Seven (Games) In (Hockey) Heaven!

Panthers Won In Multiple Ways on California Trip Despite Losing Barkov To Injury

Battered And Bruised Panthers Get Their First Win Vegas, 4-1. No Passengers!

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brings in Nick Fairbanks(@prudentia0) to break down the Panthers 4-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights as it was their first win in the fortress in nine tries. The Panthers first lost Evan Rodrigues after he went limping off the ice after blocking a shot(which Vegas would get their one and only goal). Rodrigues would not return. Then as the first period was winding down, Aleksander Barkov gets elbowed in the head on a board battle with defenseman Alec Martinez, he would not return neither with the game tied at 1. The Panthers tilted the ice in the second period like they did on Tuesday in Arizona, killing off a penalty and building off the momentum. The Panthers were to 5-on-3 twice at the start of the second period, and only allowed one shot when down two men. The Panthers took off from there just minutes after on the power play, by Matthew Tkachuk, his first on the power play this year, his second straight game with a goal. Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe would also find the back of the net, but the Panthers would give Vegas little to no space in the final 40 minutes, and went a perfect six for six on the penalty kill. The guys discuss their three stars and when they thought this game was won. The two would also discuss Sam Reinhart being the Panthers Representative for the 2024 All-Star Game in Toronto and Defenseman Uvis Balinskis given an extension by the Panthers.
