Matchen var mållös till Manchester United tog ledningen i 27:e minuten, genom Marcus Rashford. Arsenal kvitterade till 1-1 efter en knapp halvtimmes spel, genom Martin Ödegaard. Ledningsmålet till 2-1 kom på övertid, när Declan Rice slog till och gjorde mål för Arsenal på pass av Bukayo Saka. 3-1-målet för Arsenal kom direkt därefter när Gabriel Jesus på tilläggstid gjorde mål. Jesus fullbordade därmed lagets vändning. 3-1-målet blev matchens sista. Arsenal har tio poäng och Manchester United har sex poäng efter fyra omgångar. Nästa motstånd för Arsenal är Everton. Lagen möts söndag 17 september 17.30 på Goodison Park. Manchester United tar sig an Brighton hemma lördag 16 september 16.00.
