Trycket är stort och tonläget högt i de kommentarer som strömmar in, säger Fanny Palm, press- och kriskommunikatör på Malmö stad till TV4 Nyheterna. – Det vi gör nu är att vi går ut där vi kan och förklarar att det är felaktig information som sprids. Sen får vi fundera på om vi behöver vidta ytterligare åtgärder beroende på hur stor spridning det får, säger Fanny Palm. Beredda på mer desinformationsspridning Inför de planerade demonstrationerna lördagen är polisen väl förberedd med gott om resurser i form av personal från hela Sverige, samt med stöd från norska och danska kollegor. Men man är ändå beredd på att desinformationen kan få betydelse för hur en folkmassa agerar. – Det kan självklart leda till en oro i en folksamling om rykten sprids och det är aldrig en bra situation, säger Jimmy Modin.

Vi är bortskämda som tennisnation i Sverige. Det är svårt att leva upp till alla Grand slam-segrar, världsettor och Davis Cup-vinster. I dag har vi ingen spelare som av egen kraft eller ranking tar sig in i de stora turneringarna. Elias Ymer är solklar Sverige-etta, rankad 160 i världen. Han får förlita sig på wildcards till ATP-turneringar och kvala in till Grand slam-turneringarna. Senast i Australian Open förlorade han i första omgången. Som vanligt var det ”små marginaler”. För andra gången sedan 1980 hade vi ingen svensk singelspelare i huvudturneringen. Som jämförelse var det 16 spelare i Melbournes huvudturnering 1994. Rekordet är 18 stycken i Franska öppna 1987 – Det var svenskar överallt. Vi hade en egen del i omklädningsrummet och på läktaren var det alltid mest drag i Sverigeklacken, säger Ulf Stenlund. 23:a i världen – åtta i Sverige På tal om, den för många okända, Ulf Stenlund. Den idag 57-årige Hedemorasonen var som bäst rankad 23:a i världen 1987. Men aldrig bättre än åtta i Sverige. Det var andra tider. Stenlund var inte i närheten av att få representera Sverige i Davis Cup och han fick aldrig några rubriker i pressen. Trots titlar i både singel och dubbel, och dessutom en kvartsfinal i Franska öppna. Det blev kanske en notis i Dala-Demokraten. Varför har inte svensk tennis lyckats förvalta arvet och bygga nytt? Erfarenheten och kunskapen finns, är det viljan och engagemanget som saknas? Vi kanske bara var fat and happy. Dags att vända sig till bordtennisen? Förbundet kanske ska vända sig till grannen bordtennis, som trots skrala år utan framgångar under sena 00-talet och hela 2010-talet, nu är en toppnation i världen igen. Efter Jonas Björkmans och Thomas Johanssons framgångar så låg vägen öppen för Andreas Vinciguerra, Pim-Pim Johansson och Robin Söderling. Men innan Elias Ymer och Daniel Windahl skulle ta klivet så hade skador och sjukdom satt stopp för en hel generation. Daniel Berta som vann juniorsingel i Paris 2009 nöjde sig så och blev den förste junior-världsettan som inte nådde över 600-strecket på seniorrankingen. Nu senast i somras stängdes två av Sveriges tre högst rankade spelarna av på grund av klantighet, dumhet och nonchalans. Man behöver någon som visar vägen, spelare behöver se och lära av andra på nära håll. Vi är inte där på långa vägar. För några veckor sedan nådde 16-årige talangen William Rejchman Vinciguerra, systerson till Andreas Vinciguerra, andra rundan i Australian Opens pojksingel. Tennis-Sverige jublade. Mats Wilander vann franska öppna som 17-åring.
