Nu förbereder sig Israel på en vedergällningsattack från Iran, som kan komma att bli flera dagar lång, enligt en ny rapport från tankesmedjan Institute for the study of war, ISW. – Förmodligen närmar vi oss ett iranskt svar mot Israel. Det sista scenariot är att Iran genomför en serie drönare- och missilattacker under flera dagar. – Om Iran inte vill eskalera det här då tror jag att man kan genomföra något liknande den attack vi såg i april. Det vill säga en ambitiös attack men att skadeverkningarna inte blir så stora. Det skulle rädda ansiktet på alla inblandade, säger Anders Persson. – Men om Iran verkligen vill eskalera det här då kanske man skjuter många fler raketer för att överbelasta Israels luftvärnssystem, fortsätter han. ”Kan försöka döda politiker” Anders Persson menar att det finns ett femte scenario – att Iran riktar in sig på att döda en politiker eller militär i Israel, som vedergällning. Det skulle vara ett ”ess i rockärmen”, menar Anders Persson. – Jag tror personligen att Iran allra främst skulle vilja ha ihjäl en israelisk politiker eller högt uppsatt militär. Då skapar man det man kallar för paritet, som både Iran och Hizbollah talar om i sina politiska uttalanden kring de israeliska attackerna. – Det skulle kunna vara att man har agenter på insidan som kan genomföra ett terrordåd eller lönebord. Men det är väldigt svårt att lyckas med det eftersom dessa nyckelpersoner är väl skyddade i Israel.
