Spanien portar danska fartyg

Fartygen har ansökt om att lägga till i Algeciras den 8 och 14 november. Maersk bekräftar uppgifterna för Ritzau, men förnekar att fartygen fraktar vapen. "Vi kan bekräfta att fartyget Maersk Denver har omdirigerats från Algeciras till Tanger i Marocko. De spanska myndigheternas underlag för att vägra fartyget åtkomst till hamnen är dock okänd för oss då det fullt ut följer nationella och internationella lagar och regler om vad som får lastas", skriver rederijätten som uppger att varken vapen eller ammunition finns i lasten. Spanien, en av de hårdaste europeiska kritikerna av Israels krigföring i Gaza, meddelade i februari att landet stoppar all vapenexport till Israel. Sedan i maj har landet drivit en hårdare hållning även mot fartyg som transporterar vapen till Israel. Mellanöstern behöver inte fler vapen, de behöver mer fred, sade utrikesminister José Manuel Albares då.
